The black lacquer case with a laque burgauté panel set at the top, decorated with a Chinese garden scene with scholars in dyed mother-of-pearl on black lacquer ground, the lacquer push-piece opening to reveal a single compartment, circa 1925, 3 1/2 x 3 1/8 x 3/4 ins., with French assay mark for 18k gold, the compartment engraved 'Scrapper' and 'her cigarettes'
