Each tapering cylindrical and on a circular foot, with two drop-ring handles, with detachable wirework liners, each engraved with the Royal arms within the Garter motto and below the Royal crown all within drapery mantling
8 ¼ in. (21 cm) high
Provenance
The arms are those of George III (r. 1760-1820)

Almost certainly supplied to Alleyne FitzHerbert, later 1st Baron St. Helens (1753-1839) as Ambassador to The Hague (1789-1790) or Madrid (1790-1794) and by descent until sold,
Christie's, London, 22 January 2009, lot 575 (part).
