The present reference 16238 is a rare and very well-preserved example of a Rolex Datejust model with the “UAE Desert Eagle” Coat of Arms made for His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, featuring his signature to the lower half of the dial. The case shows strong proportions and well-defined edges to the lugs, furthermore still retaining the green protective sticker to the case back.
The combination of the gold, red, black and white in the highly intricate design with fine printed calligraphy, proves the incredible ability of the dial makers. By their nature they protect against forgeries as it is so difficult to produce this level of detail to the accuracy that could only be produced by the original manufacturing in a short manufacturing run for clients as exacting as Rolex and the United Arab Emirates.
