"Printed supermarket ads provide the mundane background for a number of small paintings and prints of 1983 and 1984 that explode with violence and sexuality. Untitled [Pampers] (1984; no. 10) substitutes the comforting image of a baby with a murderous flurry of gore emanating from a bull's-eye centered on a detail of a dollar bill." (D.
