Two similarly swiftly rendered landscapes from the Ellesmere Collection dating to the artist's last years are in the British Museum, London (inv. 1972,0722.13; D. Benati, The Drawings of Annibale Carracci, exhib. cat., Washington, National Gallery of Art, 1999, no. 95, ill.) and the Staatsgalerie, Stuttgart (inv. C1973/2303).
