One of only five copies in a sculpted interpretive binding by Daniel Kelm, from a total deluxe edition of 350 copies including an extra suite of the wood-engraved plates, each signed in initials by the artist, Barry Moser. This edition includes essays by Ruth Mortimer, Emily Sunstein, Joyce Carol Oates, and William St. Clair. It is no. 13 of an unspecified number printed for staff. Signed on the colophon by the artist; tipped-in binder's statement signed by the artist and the binder. Eight of the additional wood-engraved plates are colored.
Folio (358 x 260mm). Wood-engraved illustrations by Barry Moser. Full black morocco extra by Daniel Kelm. The front cover panel of spray-cast abaca fiber with three-dimensional goatskin onlay of the monster’s hand, after an original wax sculpture by Moser. Original linen folding box with separate chemise and compartment for the suite of prints, title lettered in yellow, blue and red morocco onlay (mild scuffs to box). Volume very fine.
