Limited edition, number XXXVIII of 50 copies numbered I to L, with two extra suites of the woodcuts of which one printed in bistre.

2 volumes, octavo (210 x 135mm). Numbered and initialled by the publisher on the limitation statement and each additional suite wrapper, the latter with Maillol's stamp; from the edition of 550 copies of which 100 with 2 extra suites comprising a total of 156 plates, all on handmade paper with Maillol watermark, 121 woodcuts in the text, and 11 woodcuts on the part-wrappers (occasional very pale unobtrusive stains). Loose as issued in original printed wrappers, with each extra suite in its own wrapper, publisher's pasteboard chemises and slipcases (the latter a fraction soiled).
