stamped with signature, numbered and stamped with foundry mark 'Degas 32/H A.A. HÉBRARD CIRE PERDUE' (Lugt 658; on the top of the base); numbered '36/H' (on the rider's left foot)
bronze with dark brown patina
Height: 11 1/4 in. (28.7 cm.)
Original wax model conceived circa 1875; this bronze version cast at a later date in an edition numbered A to T, plus two casts reserved for the Degas heirs and the founder Hébrard marked HER.D and HER, respectively
