Lot Essay

Primavera YouTube is part of a series titled Short Tales, a collection of ball-point pen drawings created while listening to randomly selected movies and TV series. By embracing certain auditory patterns, Ariel Orozco seeks to divert his attention from any particular purpose or goal, thus enabling a deliberate drawing process. The result is an automatic, involuntary expression on paper, free from any preconceived influence. Orozco consciously allows his subconscious to dominate, leaving an indelible mark as the sole wellspring of "inspiration" for each artwork.
