With guilloche-carved serpentine cresting over downswept arms and over-upholstered seat, supported on foliate-carved cabriole legs, with the number II in black ink to interior of front seat rail, apparently unaltered, not fully examined underneath upholstery, with printed and inscribed Ann and Gordon Getty Collection inventory label

In the Collection of Major Hans Stanley, British Embassy, Paris.
Thence by descent in the Collection at Paultons, Hampshire, until sold;
