An RSO Records Eric Clapton publicity postcard, handwritten in blue ink from Eric Clapton to Pattie Boyd, post-marked Zagreb, 11 October 1979, and addressed to Mrs. E. Clapton at Hurtwood Edge, Surrey, Clapton jestingly reports an exciting tour promotion You won't believe this, but I've been given the job of paymaster! - I actually handle all the finance, not only for the group but for the staff as well! Can you imagine? Me with all that money? responsibility at last! and - (hold on to your hat nelly) I'm good at it! I think I've found my true vocation at last!, signed all my love - thinking of you, your loving hubby, additionally annotated on his publicity portrait in blue ballpoint pen with a thought bubble, to indicate that he is dreaming about Gymslips and toffee apples
