A SUITE OF RETRO BLUE AND YELLOW SAPPHIRE, RUBY AND GOLD "PASSE-PARTOUT" JEWELRY, BY VAN CLEEF & ARPELS
Comprising a choker necklace, the front set with three detachable flowers, each designed as circular-cut ruby cluster pistils, extending cushion-cut blue or yellow sapphire petals, with sculpted gold leaves and circular-cut ruby accents, to the gold snake link band; and a pair of ear clips en suite, circa 1940, necklace 14¼ ins., (accompanied by a contemporary 18k gold bangle of later addition, 2¼ ins. diameter), (flowers detach to be worn as brooches or attached to bangle, ear clips may be attached to necklace), necklace and two flowers with French assay marks, in a Van Cleef & Arpels black leather case and light green silk pouch
