Lot Essay

Georg Wrba was a German sculptor active during the first decades of the 20th century. Born in Munich, he frequently worked with architects on figural works to adorn buildings. Wrba went on to teach at the Academy of Fine Arts in Dresden. Today his public works can be seen in Dresden, Leipzig and Berlin.
