RUFINO TEIXEIRA COLLECTION
From the old Teixeira family stock, direct descendants of the first discoverers of Madeira. This very rare collection was recently reconditioned. All bottles were tasted, only the best were selected to be recorked and put back in the collection. Christie’s is very proud to have been granted the opportunity to offer a few of these historic treasures coming from the now reconditioned Teixeira collection.

Level into neck
Tasting Note: Intense orange color. Deep rich nose of caramel, straw, quite uplifting. Full and expressive. Intriguing array of aromas. Soft mouthfeel of fudge, hazelnuts and dried peaches followed by a fine acidity which balances out the strong, lingering taste and cleans your palate. A very good Madeira with beautiful matured acidity under sweet fruit intensity. Great length. A clear example of the greatness of Sercial after extended aging in cask.
