soft-ground etching and aquatint in sepia, circa 1889, on heavy laid paper, an experimental, atmospheric impression, Breeskin's fifth (final) state (with the experimental use of cheese cloth creating depth and texture), signed in pencil, with full margins, minor surface soiling, occasional soft creasing and rippling, a few pale foxmarks (primarily in the margins), the palest staining at the upper left margin corner, a 1-in. horizontal tear at the upper right margin edge, hinge remains in places at the reverse of the margin corners (with associated skinning and a small loss at the upper right corner), otherwise in good condition
