This photograph, made near the release of Madonna's first movie, 'Desperately Seeking Susan', marks the first meeting and collaboration of Ritts and Madonna. According to the Herb Ritts Foundation, this image was licensed to Playboy for one-time usage and was never made into an edition. The present lot is a unique print, used to lay out, originate and colour correct the Playboy cover.
