拍品专文

In 1931 Giorgio de Chirico created the stage sets and costume designs for the ballet Bacchus et Ariane. The music was composed by Albert Roussel, it was choreographed by Serge Lifar (who also danced the title role of Bacchus), and it was given a lavish production at the Paris Opéra. The present work is a study for one of de Chirico's stage sets for this ballet.
