Centering upon an old European-cut diamond peacock, with a pavé-set demantoid garnet head, enhanced by a circular-cut ruby crest and a ruby eye, extending old European-cut diamond, sapphire and demantoid garnet wings, with an old European-cut diamond, peridot, ruby, sapphire and pearl scrolling tail, surmounted by three pear-shaped peridots, perched on an old European-cut diamond, sapphire and pearl double-bow, suspending a cushion-cut ruby, pearl, diamond and oval-cut peridot drop, mounted in gold and silver, (tail and bow sections detachable), circa 1890
