This work is sold with a photo-certificate from the Comité Magritte.
It is listed in the catalogue raisonné as an oil on canvas, but at the time of the publication the work's location, medium and size were unknown. This gouache was first published in Paul Colinet's La Carte d'après nature, no. 9, August 1955, to illustrate his poem La parabole.
