This work will be included in the forthcoming Auguste Rodin catalogue critique de l'oeuvre sculpté currently being prepared by the Comité Rodin at Galery Brame et Lorenceau under the direction of Jérôme Le Blay under the archive number 2008-1975B.

The name for this particular fauness comes from the collector Jacques Zoubaloff, who purchased the original plaster at the Anthony Roux Sale at Galerie Georges Petit in 1914.
