The 19th century Spanish master Antonio De Torres believed the quality of a guitar was not determined by the materials used but rather the hands that crafted it. It is said he proved his theory when he constructed a concert quality instrument of paper-mache. The craftsmen at C.F. Martin decided to test their skills by taking a trip to the local Lowes lumber yard. Made of construction grade Douglas fir this dreadnought is a whimsical approach to what can be achieved in the hands of master craftsmen.
