With Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch with enamel dial, Breguet numerals and case ornamented with painting on blue enamel and rose-cut diamonds in 1895 and its subsequent sale on 7 September 1896. Furthermore delivered with the original fitted Patek Philippe brown leather presentation box, the cover with imprinted gilt initials C.M., and spare crystal numbered 216'490.

Distinctive enamel and diamond decorations such as shown on the present watch were often made to special order by their first owner and are therefore most likely unique pieces. The engraved initials "C.M." on the cuvette of the watch and the presentation box furthermore underline this thesis.

Property of the same family since the early 20th century, the present watch has never been offered in public before.
