"Years ago when I was driving on a road that crossed the desert, wheat fields with long-stemmed wheat ready to be harvested and deeply rooted in water from torrential rain of a few hours before were awaiting the sun to dry them up. I was driving along a road with the reflection of masses of grapes on the roadside.

Later while practising calligraphy and composition of words and letters on canvas, I finally accomplished a composition which was reminiscent of the "Rain in the Wheat Field" to me. The work is dated 1973 and belongs to my private collection. For this work, along with the another one belonging to the collection of the Tehran Museum of Contemporary Art, I was awarded as the Painter of the Year during the Annual Nationwide Exhibition then.

A wider composition with large gap between the letters has always been on my mind whenever I looked at the work over the last decade. Eventually, I devolved a different composition last year using letters and words.

The new work is double in size compared to the initial work and has been executed with a unique technique which appears even more inspiring and more poetic. It is an abstract image of "Loving Whisper" which gives me joyful satisfaction"
