Jean-Louis Delaunay and Richard Riss have confirmed the authenticity of this work.

The current work is a variation on an engraving Delaunay produced for a catalogue accompanying a 1961 exhibition at the London based Brooks Gallery. That same year Delaunay illustrated a text by Tristan Tzara entitled Juste Present, with 8 original engravings published by La Rose des Vents.
