With Patek Philippe Certificate of Origin confirming production of the present watch with skeletonized dial and 102 diamonds of 0.5 carats and its subsequent sale at Gübelin, Zurich, in February 1991. Furthermore delivered with the Extract from the Archives confirming its production with 102 diamonds of approx. 0.5 carats and yellow gold bracelet in 1990 and the subsequent sale on 12 September 1990.
To the best of our knowledge, this watch has never been offered in public before and is only the third example of this reference to appear at auction to date.
Reference 3881/1 was launched in 1980 and remained in production until the late 1990s; the model was exclusively available in yellow gold. Together with reference 3880, it was Patek Philippe's first skeletonized wristwatch made in series.
