The present watch is a fine example of the rare reference 6099 model, cased in pink gold and fitted with the much sought after honeycomb dial. It is furthermore preserved in excellent, original overall condition, still retaining a period strap.

Launched in the early 1950s, reference 6099 was available both in stainless steel and gold and is often referred to as the large bubble back without date. It differs from its peer, reference 6098, by the engine-turned bezel.
