With Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch in 1957 and its subsequent sale on 6 May 1959. Furthermore delivered with Patek Philippe contemporary brown presentation box.
The present watch stands out by its excellent overall condition. The facets to the sides, sensitive to careless polishing, are clearly defined and the gold mark between the lower lugs is as crisp as to be expected from an unrestored case. Over time, the dial has taken a charismatic ivory-coloured patina, the hard enamel signature is beautifully raised.
Another most noteworthy characteristic of the present reference 2461 is the dial configuration, featuring applied baton numerals instead of the diamond indexes commonly found on the white gold or platinum version of this model. According to our research, this watch is one of only three examples of reference 2461 with "normal" dial to appear publicly.
Production of reference 2461 was launched in 1950 and is the wider version of reference 425.
