Together with a vine pattern punch ladle, mark of William Traies, London, 1834, with gilt interior to bowl, the punch bowl of campana form with leafy scroll and vine handles, leafy rim and chased pedestal foot, the sides chased with large leaves and budding flowers, gilt interior, one side applied with a large ewe and inscribed 32 months old, Wether, vegetable fed, weight 25 stone 1 pound. Killed at Canterbury Christmas Cattle Shew,(sic)1832 and Presented by the Noblemen, Gentlemen & Agriculturists of Kent to Mr.Richd. Goord of Milton, as a tribute of their admiration of his indefatigable endeavours to improve the long-woolled breed of Kent Sheep & as a memorial of the benefits which the County at large has derived from his meritorious & successful exertions, Sept. 1834, the foot inscribed with retailers' details,Widdowson & Veale fecerunt, in fitted lozenge-shaped wooden box with break-front and brass strip fitted to rim inscribed Widdowson & Veale, Goldsmiths & Sword Cutlers, 73 Strand, London
