Later gilt-finished verge movement, chain fusée, pierced and engraved floral decorated balance cock and foot, diamond endstone, later white enamel dial, Roman numerals, outer Arabic five minute divisions, circular case, diamond-set and white and black enamel scroll decorated split bezel, filigree case back with diamond-set and black and white enamel floral decoration in high relief, later pendant, movement signed

The case of the present watch is a fine and very attractive example for the delicate filigree or openwork decoration, particularly popular in in the early 17th century. Its appeal is furthermore enhanced by the diamond and enamel floral ornament in high relief, also characteristically for the period.

The movement, dial and pendant have been replaced in the mid-18th century, a typical feature often found in early watches.
