Nicole gilt-finished three-quarter double roller lever movement, winding and chronograph mechanism mounted on the top plate, bimetallic compensation balance, micrometer regulator, diamond endstone, gold cuvette, tinted enamel dial, Roman numerals, two sunk subsidiary dials for 60 minute register and constant seconds, plain circular case, engraved initials HW to the hinged back, turning pendant, chronograph operated through the crown and one button in the band, case numbered and stamped with casemaker's initials HMF for Harrison Mill Frodsham and London date letter for 1887, cuvette numbered and stamped HMF, dial and movement signed and numbered

With Charles Frodsham & Co. Ltd. Certificate of Origin dated 1 September 2011 confirming that the movement of the present watch was supplied by Nicole at a cost of £55 and that the watch was entered in Frodsham's 1888 stock.
