A very rare first edition volume, Steichen was one of only 65 copies, a deluxe, extra-illustrated issue of the Camera Work 'Steichen Supplement'. The 29 proof photogravures include Steichen's greatest Pictorialist photographs, including The Flatiron and The Pond, Moonrise (illustrated). The series includes thirteen images not reproduced in the regular 'Steichen Supplement'; it adds 10 selected proofs from Camera Work 14; and proofs of A. Bartholomé (Camera Work 2), Clarence White (Camera Work 9) and Experiments in Three-Color Photography (Camera Work 15).
