Rectangular with rounded corners, the cover decorated in niello with the Crucifixion over a gilt stippled ground with inlaid imitation stones, the back centred with a niello Tree of Life within inscription and scrolls over a gilt stippled ground, the borders with niello scrolls and pellet frieze, apparently unmarked
