The backs centred by engraved ivory panels, one probably depicting Virtue or Good Government triumphing over Greed, signed ?TECTI ?DOLI, the other probably depicting Peace triumphing over War, the seats inlaid with similar panels depicting respectively a wedding dance and a gathering in a drawing room, the latter signed indistinctly by the artist, on ebonised androsphinx front supports (2)
