The present model was produced to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak collection. The watch was made out of Alacrite 602, a new alloy often used in aero-technology and medical application. It consists of 57 cobalt, 31 chrome, 5 tungsten and traces of carbon, silicon and iron.
