With Patek Philippe Certificate of Origin dated November 11th, 2011, Patek Philippe veneered presentation box, additional hard back, setting pin, tie tag, and leather portfolio.

The present watch is the only known reference 5970 in yellow gold with a gold-colored dial, confirmed by the original Certificate of Origin, and is in excellent overall condition.

Reference 5970 was introduced to the market in April 2005 at Basel Fair, and replaced the reference 3970. The model was available in white or pink gold until 2007 when production in those metals ceased, and the reference was produced in yellow gold only until 2008. Since 2008, the model has only been available in platinum.

In 2011, at Basel Fair, reference 5970 was replaced by the smaller reference 5270, which additionally featured a day/night indication on the dial, as well as a separate leap year cycle and was equipped with the in-house caliber CH 29-535 PS Q.

Reference 5970 is furthermore the last perpetual calendar chronograph of the company to feature the Geneva Seal stamped on the movement, as Patek Philippe began stamping movements with the Patek Philippe Seal, starting in mid-2009, as a new quality benchmark for it's own mechanical timepieces.

Already considered a classic reference, the reference 5970 has become a pillar in many collections, and the present watch with it's gold-colored dial is an opportunity for an aficionado of Patek Philippe complicated timepieces to add a classic model with an exceptional feature to their own magnificent collection.
