With Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch with Breguet numerals in 1948 and its subsequent sale on February 25th of the following year.

To the best of our knowledge this watch has never before been offered in public.

Reference 2406 was produced from 1945 until approximately 1951. The present example belongs to the first series with the caliber 12'''120 movement. The second series was manufactured with the 12'''400 caliber.
Originally retailing for $450, this watch was originally sold by Portland, Oregon retailer Friedlander & Son. With most examples of this reference made with standard Arabic and batons, the raised Breguet numerals on this watch make it especially rare and it is likely that it was made with this dial by special request by this American retailer.
