pediment with brass and ebonised mouldings, stiff leaf finials, the painted dial with Roman hours and signed 'FRENCH/ Royal Exchange/LONDON', 'strike/silent' above 'XII', with two-train gut fusee movement with recoil anchor escapement, striking on a bell, the
backplate signed 'French/ Royal Exchange/ LONDON', with pendulum; winding key and case key
