etching, drypoint, lavis and engraving, circa 1812, on heavy laid paper, without watermark, an extremely fine working proof, before number but with lavis, an intermediate state between Harris Ii and Iii, (hitherto unrecorded), the plate unbeveled, with sharp, inky plate edges, with margins, in very good condition
