With Patek Philippe Certificat d'Origine et de Garantie dated 27 August 1952, enveloppe and original "Reçu" or receipt confirming reception of the sum of Fr. 1270 from Mr. A. Lloyd Fleming for a man's wristwatch style 2424 in yellow gold with yellow gold buckle, including Fr. 130 for Swiss luxury tax. Furthermore delivered with the original fitted presentation box and Extract from the Archives confirming manufacture of the present watch with raised gold hour markers in 1952 and its subsequent sale on 27 August 1952.
Ref. 2424, nicknamed fiamma (flame) by Italian collectors due to the shape of its lugs, is one of the most voluminous vintage shape watches, and one of the rarest as well. Its size, combined with the unusual shape of its lugs, make it as attractive today as ever.
