Property from a West Coast Private Collection
The following paintings by Utrillo, Redon and Morisot (lots 390-392) are being offered for the frst time in many years. These prime examples from the Impressionist period were collected by the grandparents of the present owners in France—Jean-Pierre Roland Ostins and Jeanne-Marie Madeleine Ostins. Mr. and Mrs. Ostins lived and worked in Paris on the left bank of the Seine River opposite the Louvre at their Galerie Frangonard, located at 11 Quai Voltaire, Paris. During the years 1958-1964, the Ostins family owned Le Château de Malrome, previous home of the Countess Adèle de Toulouse-Lautrec, mother of the artist Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec, who often visited the château.
