Accompanied by a Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch in 1962 and its subsequent sale on July 6th of the same year.

The Reference 3422 was originally described in a 1960s Patek Philippe marketing pamphlet as the Rhomboid. It was considered ahead of its time during this era and quite difficult to sell at first. As a consequence, very few were made and it is believed that fewer than 4 were made in rose gold of this reference. Today, the Gilbert Albert asymmetricals are highly sought after for their rarity and futuristic design.

This particular example is in extraordinary original condition. The mint champagne gold dial with raised enamel lines, the crisp case, and untouched movement make this a watch for the true connoisseur.

Reference 3422 with a movement number beginning with 861 such as the present watch is illustrated and described in Patek Philippe Museum - Patek Philippe Watches Volume II, p. 241.
