‘I cannot imagine a better material than steel for my sculptures. It is sublime, yet, at the same time, neutral. And it is sufficiently malleable for my purposes. It conveys perfectly the effort that must be made in order to bend it, and what exertions are necessary to attain my objectives. By virtue of the materials and the technology I have expressly chosen, my sculptures are the unequivocal outcome of the production process.
