Dial: Silver brushed, gilt baton numerals, four engine-turned subsidiary dials for date, constant seconds, 30 minutes and 12 hours registers, window for day and month in French, moon phases, signed
Case: Stainless steel, screw back, two round chronograph buttons in the band, 35 mm. diam., signed
With: Stainless steel Universal Genève/Gay Freres bracelet and deployant clasp, overall length of approximately 190 mm or 7.59 inches, A Universal geneve extract from the Archieves confirming the date of manufacture in 1963.

Launched in 1944, the legendary "Tri-Compax" is certainly among Universal's best-known models. One of the most complex chronograph wristwatches of the period, its functions include days, weeks, jumping months, moon phases, minute counter, chronographic hours, and a tachymeter scale. The model was available in steel and gold cases, with a variety of dial colors and designs. The designation “Tri” is derived from the three main complications, chronograph, full calendar and moon phases.
