The present "sabot", French for "hoof" clock, named after its shape, is a fine example of these rare "Time to the Second" Rolex display clocks leant to dealers as an advertising tool to demonstrate the precision of Rolex movements. The lever at 6 o'clock allows to stop the seconds hand in order to set the time to the second.

The present example is still retaining the original wooden presentation box. Another noteworthy fact is the designation "ROW" stamped on its movement, indicating that the original destination for the piece was the American market.
