On Sincerity / Vegetable Root Discourse

Born in 1963 in Chiayi, Taiwan, Huang Chien-liang is an artist and expert in purple clay tea ware. Inspired by the woodblock printed books of the Song and Ming dynasties, Huang sources his subjects from the rich textual and pictorial history of China, creating doorways in time through which the viewer can revisit literary figures of the past.
