H. Moser & Cie was founded in 1805 by Heinrich Moser, who was originally a watch manufacturer. The company experienced great success and was in business until 1979 when the Quartz crisis forced them to become part of the Dixi Mechanique Group. In 2005, H. Moser & Cie returned to Schaffhausen where they began to make their watches in-house again.
The dial of the present watch features a classic style with a sub-seconds register at 6 o'clock. The watch has a sapphire caseback, showing off the beautiful manual wind movement and has a power reserve indicator. Typically, watches with power reserve indicators have them on the dial, however to preserve the simplicity of the dial, it can be viewed through the caseback. This watch is a beautiful piece of craftsmanship and every movement is made in-house and built and finished by hand, which is not a common practice these days. H. Moser & Cie has developed a growing following due to its commitment to quality and excellent design.
