拍品专文

The central scene is adapted from a mezzotint by Cornelis Dusart (1660-1704), and is also painted on a smaller plate of the same model in the W. G. Gulland Collection at the Victoria & Albert Museum, London (accession no. C.221-1931). Commenting on the present lot, D. Howard and J. Ayers note that the enamel-painting adheres closely to the original print, and that the figures' costumes and ice skates are particularly Dutch in style. See D. Howard and J. Ayers, China for the West, New York and London, 1978, vol. I, p. 287, no. 284.
