This 'windswept' vase is painted in a similar style to lot 114, with scholars or sages with attendant figures in fantastic cloudy or misty landscapes. A smaller meiping with a related scene of a scholar and attendant carrying a zither is in the Shanghai Museum, and is illustrated in Lustre Revealed: Jingdezhen Porcelain Wares in the Mid Fifteenth Century China, Shanghai, 2019, p. 336, no. 236.
