La Rupture (Interrupted)

The main elements in Pooya Aryanpour's recent works are an accumulation of repetitive, rhythmic lines over abstract compositions inspired by calligraphy. The juxtaposition between the lifeless rhythmic forms and the vigorous circular forms on the other, is a recurrent feature. The title La Repture (Interrupted) is a reference to the artist's surroundings.
