With finely hand-engraved skeletonized gilt-finished fully jewelled keywound lever movement, the skeletonized dial with diamond-set baton hour numerals on a mirror-polished silvered chapter ring, blued steel Breguet hands, sweep centre seconds, in water-resistant-type case with diamond-set bezel, ribbed band, domed rock crystal bottom part, gimballed in the smokey quartz three-tier box with silver gilt ribbed mounting, hinged gilt handles to both sides, the hinges and thumb-pieces set with diamonds, the brackets and stoppers set with cabochon emeralds, ratchet-style gilt and blued steel key for the movement, a small gilt and emerald-set key for the box, case signed and numbered 2805, movement signed and numbered 2092

According to the Archives of Montres Breguet, the present timepiece was made in 1989.

It can safely be assumed that this highly unusual marine chronometer style timepiece was made to special order and is a unique piece. The bottom part of the watch consists of a cut one piece domed rock crystal into which two canals were drilled, allowing the movement to be wound and the hands to be set. All sides of the outer box are made of large smokey quartz panels. It is furthermore set with approximately 107 diamonds and three large and one smaller cabochon sapphires.
